While STIA does not currently offer a standalone doctoral program, students pursuing Ph.D. degrees in other Georgetown departments — including government, economics, anthropology, biology, and related fields — frequently work with STIA faculty on interdisciplinary research and advising.
STIA faculty also advise doctoral students at institutions around the world. Prospective students interested in working with a specific faculty member are encouraged to contact them directly.
In addition, STIA hosts a postdoctoral fellowship program that supports emerging scholars working on issues related to science, technology, and international affairs.
