Nitya Gupta (she/her) is a senior in the SFS majoring in STIA, with a concentration in Energy and Environment and a certificate in South Asian Studies. Her academic work focuses on climate justice and energy security, and she is writing her honors thesis on the intersection of air pollution and extreme heat in India. She has worked on energy-transition policy through internships with the Council on Foreign Relations and the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy in Greece. Beyond the classroom, Nitya is involved in Rangila, the Carroll Fellows Initiative, and Georgetown Eco-Consultants. She is excited to serve as a STIA Office Assistant this semester and looks forward to getting to know more students, faculty, and staff across the STIA community.
