Brian Toohey is a seasoned public policy expert and government affairs strategist with over two decades of experience spanning healthcare, biotechnology, and technology innovation. He currently serves as Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy at Illumina, where he leads international engagement and regulatory strategy. Brian previously held executive roles at PhRMA, DEKA Research, and the Semiconductor Industry Association. He also shares his deep policy and industry insight as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where he has taught since 2007.
